Description:

This is a full-time on-site role for a Fire Alarm / Low Voltage Systems Sales Representative located in the Greater Pittsburgh Region. In this role you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing customers, and promoting our Siemens fire alarm systems and low-voltage system solutions.

The Sales Representative will utilize creative lead generation techniques, develop/expand existing and new business by maintaining strong relationships with multiple customers and key decision makers. The Sales Representative will conduct surveys to support the development of estimates, follow up of leads, and maintain accurate and complete records of all sales-related activities, including submission of required sales reports, expenses, competitive activity, and correspondence in an accurate and timely manner. This position carries a direct quota assignment. Strong emphasis will be placed on achieving sales targets and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Daily tasks include conducting site surveys, preparing and delivering sales presentations, and developing customized solutions for clients. The role also involves preparing sales contracts, providing post-installation support, and staying informed about industry trends and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess current client needs and develop a sales strategy to meet those needs & locate new customers, scheduling sales calls and lead follow-up.
  • Leverage existing customer base by offering add-on services, upgraded coverage.
  • Develop positive ongoing relationships with customers and internal employees/support personnel that will achieve results.
  • Conduct building surveys to create quotes and demonstrate product/service features and benefits.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a sales representative with exceptional skill in qualifying opportunities. Prior experience in the low voltage or related technology field is a plus.
  • Must have a working knowledge of fire alarm control panels and/or low voltage systems.
  • Experience working with Electrical Contractors and General Contractors.
  • Technical aptitude and understanding of drawings and codes.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Proven sales and sales management experience regularly meeting/exceeding assigned sales plans and quotas.
  • Ability to work individually with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.
