Rauland TCU Full IP Features:
To fully utilize the advanced Rauland TCU capabilities, a full IP solution uses the school districts network to provide the best-in-class critical communications to every classroom. As part of a full IP solution, each classroom is equipped with an IP Classroom Module, which integrates with external devices such as strobe lights , status lights, room overhead speakers, check-in buttons and emergency call-in buttons.
The key to the system is the TCC2011A Classroom Module, which provides a reliable communication link to the front office by utilizing the school’s data network. Based on IP standards, the TCC2011A controls two way audio signals for clear, noiseless full bandwidth intercom and paging. The classroom module can trigger a visual indicator such as a strobe light in high volume areas such as gyms, music rooms, cafeterias, etc. The connection points use RJ45 outputs for call switches, check-in and room status lights. In a lock down emergency, the combination of classroom check-in call switch and status lights provides a visual notification for first responders.
The Classroom Speakers are fully configured by the software and no need to climb a ladder to adjust the volume. The 8 Ohm speaker output can be easily programmed to provide 2W, 1.5W, 1W, 0.5W, and 0.25W to meet the needs of any size classroom. Volume control is managed by the Web browser- web GUI with individual volume control for each device with a simple volume slider interface.
Classroom Check-in / Call Buttons
The Dual Push Button provides both Emergency and Check-in buttons that provide a high reliability communications point at shelter-in-place locations in a classroom.
